Proposal to Construct a DN 150 PVC Water Main and a 2ML Ground Level Concrete Tank and Pressure Booster Pumping Station

To improve the supply of water to the Shire of Morawa, the Water Corporation proposes to construct the following—

· DN150 PVC inlet main 810 metres long, complete with all fittings and connections.

· Fenced compound containing 2ML (23 metre diameter, 5 metre high) concrete tank, pressure booster pumping station, overflow sump and associated pipework, fittings and connections.

The location of the proposed works is along White Avenue, between Waddilove Road and Winfield Street.

The proposed works are scheduled to commence in July 2006 and may continue for approximately six months.

Construction of the proposed pipework in White Avenue will generally be by open trench excavation which will be backfilled and restored.

A copy of this Notice of Proposal (referred to as HWO7-0-1) is available for viewing during office hours at the Water Corporation's Mid West Region Office, 45 Cathedral Avenue, Geraldton and at the Morawa Shire Offices, Prater Street Morawa.
