Entry of Places in the Register of Heritage Places

PROPOSED PERMANENT REGISTRATIONS (CROWN AND PRIVATE)

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 47(5) of the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990, that the Heritage Council has advised the Minister for Heritage regarding registration of crown property that it has resolved that--

1. the place listed below is of cultural heritage significance, and is of value for the present community and future generations;

2. the protection afforded by the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990 is appropriate; and

3. the place should be entered in the Register of Heritage Places on a permanent basis.

Notice is hereby given that the place below will be entered in the Register of Heritage Places on an interim basis with effect from today in accordance with section 50(1)(b) of the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990. The place listed below is wholly or partly vested in the Crown, or in a person on behalf of the Crown, in right of the State.

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 49(1) of the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990 that, pursuant to a direction from the Minister for Heritage, it is proposed that the place described below be entered in the Register of Heritage Places on a permanent basis. The Heritage Council invites submissions on the proposal, which must be in writing and should be forwarded to the address below not later than 27 January 2017.

West End, Fremantle; The land situated within an area defined by the following boundary: In straight lines from the northern most corner of the precinct at location 115 44′ 43.930″E 32 3′ 8.650″S (in GDA94) in a southerly direction to location 115 44′ 49.514″E 32 3′ 21.826″S (easternmost corner), then in a southwesterly direction to locations 115 44′ 43.842″E 32 3′ 25.923″S, 115 44′ 41.405″E 32 3′ 25.054″S, 115 44′ 32.978″E 32 3′ 27.760″S and 115 44′ 32.477″E 32 3′ 28.338″S (southernmost corner), from there in a northerly direction following the eastern boundary of Reserves 13298 and 38519 to location 115 44′ 29.548″E, 32 3′ 18.267″S, then in a straight line to location 115 44′ 30.605″E 32 3′ 17.446″S, along the northern boundary of Reserve 25240 to location 115 44′ 31.041″E 32 3′ 17.309″S, and in a straight line to location 115 44′ 31.577″E, 32 3′ 16.679″S, from there in a northeasterly direction along the northwestern boundary of Reserve 40256, Lots 1535, 1536 and 1537 on Deposited Plan 222449, then in a northeasterly direction following the southern boundary of Reserve 6729 and the northern boundary of the Phillimore St road reserve back to the northernmost corner of the precinct at location 115 44′ 43.930″E 32 3′ 8.650″S or shown in HC Curtilage Map P25225-0 below.

AMENDMENTS TO CURTILAGE OF A PERMANENTLY REGISTERED PLACE

The entry in the Register relating to Cottage, Old Balcatta Road, at Old Balcatta Road, Carine (“The Place”) has been amended pursuant to Section 54 of the Act. The reason for the amendment was to amend the land description of the Place in the register to decrease the registered curtilage. The amended land description of the place is: ptn of Lot 9000 on DP 39498 C/T V 2770 F 371 as shown on HC Curtilage Map P3442-1.

PERMANENT REGISTRATIONS

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 51(2) of the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990 that, pursuant to a direction from the Minister for Heritage, the place described below has been entered in the Register of Heritage Places on a permanent basis with effect from today.

Birdwood House, Geraldton, at 44 & 46 Chapman Road, Geraldton; Lot 1118 on DP 156787 and being the whole of the land in C/T V 1035 F 737; Reserve 21706 being Lot 998 on DP 156787 and being the whole of the land in CLT V 3037 F 471.
